Tennessee State Museum

As I wrote on my main blog on July 30 we took William to the Tennessee State Museum. It was very interesting and ... free!

The first quilt I saw in this museum was this one, made by a slave about 1860 for her mistress, Emma Florida Lipscomb of Maury County.

Around the corner something for children but I found it very interesting too.

And through a door more eye candy.

There was a quilting frame too where you could try hand quilting. Some had! Ha-ha, should have taken a close-up of that!

James and I decided we should go again, with or without a 5year old!
