August threads

Monday August 8 - The lace meeting was convenient for me this month since it was at Lali's. 15 minutes instead of 1 hour 15 minutes drive.
I wanted to make a cross and even found the pricking. I had wound the bobbins and was all prepared. Except when I wanted to start ... I had left the pattern page at home. So I had to sit and think how to start, where to hang in the pairs. Meanwhile Mary perused the brown bag with double or not needed sorted out patterns and lace publications I had brought for the guild library and guess what ... there was the publication with the pattern. How lucky can you get? I made good progress.

Natalie likes to create jewelry. This is her latest lace bracelet.

Tuesday the 9th - CR Quilters meeting
This month's discussion was about "quilt as you go". I had brought the quilt which I call my "free motion quilting sampler" and explained how I had done it. And then show+tell is always great.

My August Block Lotto!

Placemats I had made at the Thursday Stitchers. I forgot to take a picture of the matching coasters. That was all fun.

Another Thursday Stitchers' project. The jar quilts were a group project.

Susan encouraged me to add some appliqué. Ok, two frogs.

I also sewed a lot of things for the church bazaar. Really don't want to leave things to the last minute. Am happy about the progress.
