February Program Note:
All you scrap savers and scrappy quilt lovers, come see the Cabin in the Woods trunk show, "All Scrapped Out." These are sure to be inspiring. Designer Penni Domikis will show how to step away from the cutting table and ironing board and Just use the ones you already have. No need to cut into your stash of yardage... Just use your scraps and turn them into something spectacular. Learning from experience, Penni will show how to make “free” quilts with all those leftovers others throw away.
The above paragraph is from the newsletter. The program was surely inspiring. Penni was funny and here are the samples I liked best.

On February 7 I took a serger class at the All Brands shop. The lesson was about how to make a quilt from flannel fabric with a serger. The teacher had also samples about other work with a serger. Very interesting.
I tried to work with my serger as soon as I was home. I did not have a satisfying result though. More trying needed. Don't give up.
February 11 - the CrossRidge Quilters met. We had brought our projects to work on but the favorite is always show+tell.
Sharon's pumpkins
Sharon also brought this panel which could be the base to make a great wall hanging.
Janet's heart.
Becky's latest quilt.
February 25 - the monthly WE Quilt Group meeting.
Anna gave the program. She loves Kaffe Fassett and has made many quilts with his designed fabrics. Some are very unusual like Sunbonnet Sue made with Kaffe Fassett fabric.
I have plenty of projects I want to do in my head. All I need is some time. Well, a lot of time. You know how long it takes to create handwork.
