April CR quilters

(Originally posted on my main blog April 9, 2014)

I am getting into trouble. Our English relatives surely are waiting for me to blog about Bec and Mark's visit, but I quickly have to do today's quilt meeting. Apologize first, I was busy and didn't take many photos. It was a very good meeting again. James helped me to put up the "design wall" which went quickly.Lynda gave us a program about her strip tube ruler. Very interesting!
Besides demonstrating it and putting parts up on the wall she also showed us the quilt she had made for her nephew. She had borrowed it back.
Color choices are fantastic.
After that we talked about the new BOM. We had 7 of #3 and 2 each of #1 and #2 (because of the ladies missing those meetings).
Show and Tell! This is a most unusual table runner. I am tempted to try it (one day).
Becky also brought this quilt which had been made by her mother (or grandmother?). The point was that a lot of leftover fabric from dresses in the family were used here.
Bottom row right!
She says she can remember her "skunk dress" in first grade very well.
Lorraine had a table runner to show too. She had designed it herself for a friend who had picked out the fabric because she loves birds. A fussy cut project.
Joyce told us that this table runner is very easy to make. So effective!
The back. To quilt it she had just used a fancy stitch.
The 2 hours went by very quickly.I had to skip the Church Mice meeting today though. Will blog about our visitors separate.
